Unique Undergraduate Experience

Bell curve

Students learn the importance of competition early on. We adopt a "Bell Curve" system, in which students only  care about if their peers are doing worse than them. There are no absolute grades, even if you score 99%, you may still end up with a F.

Bidding System

We force students to compete among each other in another area when they choose their classes. Students simply have to outbid their peers. The best part, people bluff and smoke their ways out. In life, big fish eat small fish; here in NUS, every man for himself.

We are currently ranked in the 101-150 range in Academic Ranking of World Universities 2012. Until now, we have strategically worked on how to score in the ranking. We are confident that our best ranking is still ahead of us, as we have thoroughly studied the ranking scoring system. We will score the ranking just as how our students score for their finals. Yes, we really care about rankings.
